    Food: 8/10
    Service:8/10
    Price: 7/10

Food was good, well seasoned. I have been going here for years and food has been consistent. The dishes have been getting smaller but has been a trend in most Chinese restaurants in Calgary. The waiters are honest with their recommendations and all the food was on point. Their "crab meat and fish stomach" soup is a little bit more expensive but it is because they use real crab meat and is noticeable in the taste.

Service is very good especially for being a Chinese restaurant, they are attentive and honest about food recommendation.

The sizes of the dishes are fair and appropriate for the price. They do not skimp out on the meat on the dishes like other Chinese restaurants.

Overall I would recommend this restaurant to friends and is great for large family dinners.

Tl;dr: owner steals from own employees.

I will preface this by saying I absolutely adore this restaurant and the wait staff. The ladies take such great care of my family and I whenever we eat there. My parents live in the community so we usually do family dinner there once in a while.

We were there for dinner this past Sunday for my sister's bday and my father paid the bill. Usually I pay and I tip on the machine but my dad paid. As we were starting to leave the servers came over with fortune cookies "for the kids" (my sisters and I) and put down an empty billfold and said we could leave our tip there. I thought it was rather strange that my dad didn't tip, he usually does at least 10% and I'll usually add more in. I asked the owner at the front and she very eagerly showed me the credit card slip with no tip added so I just chalked it up to a mistake on Dad's part and there down some cash ($20 on $125).

When we went outside I teased my dad about being a cheap Asian dad and he was so shocked. He said he left $15 in cash after paying by credit card! I said, well maybe she didn't realize that you had left it, and he said it was impossible and went inside.

The owner insisted that he didn't tip and showed the credit card slip again. Dad insisted he left cash and by now all the servers had gathered by the front. The owner started to say, oh well maybe I didn't see you leave it, and he looked her in the eyes and said, "That's impossible because I handed three 5 dollar bills to you directly and you took it from my hand."

So this owner had decided to pocket the cash herself and deceive her own staff and sent them to ask for more cash for tip! She literally was pushing this credit card slip as proof my dad "didn't tip" when he handed her cash directly! And insisted on lying up to the very moment my dad called her out on her lie!

What a skeezy and sleezy way to run a business! Nevermind you're stealing from your own staff who you're probably only paying minimum wage! I'm torn between wanting to support the wait staff and the kitchen staff and loving this restaurant that's so close to my parents' house but not wanting to support this terrible owner who steals from her own employees!

Wow...and not in a good way. Ordered a variety of dishes for pickup take out. Ranged from barely edible to absolutely terrible! The Dry Garlic Ribs were like bottom of the bag, no meat. And WAY over fried..  seemed like from the previous day's leftovers as we were there for pickup just after they opened (how could it be overdone already??). The salt and pepper chicken was very dry, bland and overdone as well. The ginger beef, ginger chicken chicken chow main and spring rolls were comparable to boxed supermarket microwave fare, even worse. The only pass and barely was for the won ton soup.
Was a regular here many years ago because it was close and at that time quite good. Thought it was a good choice given it was still here but seriously...what happened? Will never go again and given all of Calgary's choice for Asian food restos it's worth the drive to go elsewhere. $125 lesson well learned.

Ordered #153 ( shrimp, chicken & bbq pork Shanghai thick noodles) for pick up and there was 0 chicken 0 bbq pork and just a couple of shrimps. (2-3) Not to mention barely any sauce , very dry noodles...instead they put in a bunch of vegetables which odd as that is not in the description of the dish at all.  I DONOT recommend.  Like how do you sell noodles missing the actual meat!? Not happy.

Would rather dive into a dumpster fire and eat something from there than go here again. The food was terrible and not matching the menu items. I ordered salt and pepper squid, and szechuan chicken. What greeted me were waxy sad sticks of overly starched and poorly fried items. There was no salt, no pepper, and certainly questionable "squid".

As for the szechuan chicken, there was no szechuan. It was just corn starch + sugar + soy and a bit of peppers put into the chicken. No szechuan peppercorn or kick/spice. Not sure how this establishment continues to exist.
